Every single Piece By Piece Home creation or artwork is an original, one-off. The commitment to one-of-a-kind designs allows us to be more nimble, adaptable and eclectic in our choice of colour, texture and materials. It may be a slower process, but it means every single piece is considered, super special....and there will never be another one the same.
All fashion and home decor pieces are designed by Elizabeth Pilkington in her Bowral, NSW, Australia studio. Her designs are manufactured in Australia by dressmakers. She proudly sources vintage and modern textiles and embellishments from all over the globe.
We don't believe in keeping 'special things for special occasions'. We love details and surprises and pride ourselves on offering a premium customer service experience. Think free gift-wrapping with every purchase, hand-written notes and custom design considerations. We want to 'wow' you.

Elizabeth launched Piece By Piece Home in 2015. She is a colour & texture lover, a collector of textiles and art and a big fan of details. Travel is also high on her list of passions, so she often departs on a sourcing trips, always extra keen for rare, vintage finds. In the last couple of years she has travelled to Hong Kong, Paris, New York and the West Coast of the USA on sourcing trips. Care & consideration goes into every creation she designs and this separates Piece By Piece Home fashion and home decor pieces from the mainstream & mass produced. Matt Pilkington
the artist
Matt is an accomplished painter and sculptor who has pursued a career in art in various forms since completing a BA in Fine Arts in 2000. He has held several solo exhibitions in regional galleries. He often makes use of reclaimed materials to create his works of art.
Guest artists: Piece By Piece Home also regularly features other established & emerging artists, with a particular interest in textile designers.
The sewing team who stitch up a storm
We use a few hand-picked Australian gems to bring Elizabeth's designs to life. They are dressmakers, ex-sewing teachers, and costume designers. In other words, they are incredibly qualified and skilled individuals who take Elizabeth's designs and complete them with an exacting eye. The inside of the cushions, clutches and garments are often as beautiful as the outside.
