Who are Piece By Piece Home lovers?

An eclectic bunch!

Since launching this small business in 2016 I have sold one-off fashion designs, home decor pieces and artworks to a vast mix of special supporters. Some I know, most are total strangers. 

Artists, CEOs, teachers, marketing executives, interior stylists, fashion bloggers, doctors, pilots, retirees, financial analysts...the list goes on. 

My treasured customers in this community range in age from 19-90+ years young, possess a range of styles and live in Australia or across the globe in places including New York, Paris, Hong Kong and London. 

Some carry their one-of-a-kind bag or clutch to run errands while others carry theirs to a wedding. Some take it to work, or elevate their outfit for a long ladies lunch. The one-off accessory may accompany the carrier on a solo stroll to grab a coffee, or be the perfect accompaniment for a night at the opera. 

People in this community may like to wear black, while others wear bright and bold colours every day. 

So what unites my Piece By Piece Home supporters?

A good question, and one I have reflected on a lot.

We seem to:

  • love to own a unique piece, that no one else will have (no awkward double-ups here!)
  • have confidence in our own style - whether that's fashion or home decor
  • appreciate luxe textiles
  • be fans of details (like vintage embellishments)
  • be attracted to conversation-starting pieces 
  • care about the story behind how pieces are designed and made
  • enjoy shopping small and supporting small business owners who go the extra mile (think gift wrapping, handwritten notes and genuine appreciation for every purchase).
