My wonderland

I have been known to host the occasional 'open studio' event and I do welcome visitors by appointment, but mostly my customers don't have the opportunity to come to my little piece of wonderland.

They shop online or I meet them at other events I attend, such as The Slow Fashion Market in Sydney or at the artist in residence pop-up at Dirty Janes Emporium in Bowral.

Soooo, in case you were intrigued, I wanted to share with you some pics of the nooks and crannies of my studio space.

My studio is located at the back of our home in Bowral, NSW. We live in a cottage that's over 100 years old and have built a modern extension at the back that's home to my HUGE stash of fabrics, embellishments, trims, curios and completed designs.

Colour, texture, art....things that inspire me, everywhere you look there is something to see.

Visitors to the studio often gaze at the space and then ask: "How do you know where everything is?' That's a very fair question! It may look full (and perhaps even a little frenzied!) but I know where everything is because I have personally put it in its place and I have personally collected everything that's in this studio. Anything ordinary or even remotely dull, just doesn't make it through my studio door.

So don't despair if you can't make a trip to Bowral to see my creative space, because now you have!

I feel so lucky to have a dedicated and beautiful place to work and I certainly love every minute I spend in my wonderland.
