Those of you who live in The Southern Highlands, NSW will know Links House; a boutique hotel that has a long history in this local area. Chances are if you are from Sydney or Canberra, you will know of this special place too.

The building is full of charm and the gardens are sprawling. I have attended many beautiful functions here during my 10 years living in Bowral.

When energetic and motivated new owners recently took the reins at Links House, I was thrilled to be commissioned to re-style two of the hotel rooms and create custom cushions for the communal sitting areas.

The bones of the building are fabulous, but the new owners were keen for a re-fresh.

I love a creative challenge and once I was commissioned, I got to work immediately creating a themed concept for both rooms. After consultation with Joey Pfahl and Nessa Legge they ‘gave me the go ahead’ for a ‘Blue Room’ and a ‘Nest’ cottage re-style.

I sourced new pieces of furniture, wall art, pendant lights and custom-made a variety of soft furnishings, including cushions and throws that fitted with the chosen themes.

The transformation in the rooms happened quickly and within budget. The effect was instantly noticeable.
